On Monday 16 July we once again join hands with our good friends from Caught by the River to present a night themed on Wilderness, in celebration of the publication of The Immeasurable World by William Atkins.
Joining William on the night will be:
‘The Word for Woman Is Wilderness is unlike any published work I have read, in ways that are beguiling, audacious … rises to its own challenges in engaging intellectually as well as wholeheartedly with its questions about gender, genre and the concept of wilderness.’ – Guardian
‘Emily Hasler’s poems invite us to look again at the ways in which we construct – and constrain – meaning, experience, ourselves and each other. They draw on past narratives and historical forms of investment to suggest future possibilities.’ – Lavinia Greenlaw
‘Absolutely unflinching.’ – New York Times Book Review
Plus live music from Laura Cannell
‘This music feels ancient, it also feels brutally alive, as if a giant was waking from long slumbers, about to make its way in the world.’ – Guardian
