Faber Social Pop-Up Shop
September 30, 2014 | by Faber Social
Faber Social is thrilled to announce the opening of a dedicated and exclusive pop-up shop on Cecil Court in a venture with Natalie Galustian Rare Books.
The shop will stock recent and forthcoming titles by the likes of Ian Curtis, Van Morrison, Viv Albertine, Julian Cope, Simon Reynolds, Bob Stanley and many others, alongside a select number of titles from Faber’s fiction, poetry and film lists. Close to 100 titles will be on offer including many signed and limited editions by artists like Beck and Bonnie Prince Billy.
The Faber Social shop will open on 8th October and will also feature an exhibition of new art by recent Artist in Residence, Andrew Weatherall. Following this in November there will be an exhibition by the ‘6th member of Radiohead’, artist Stanley Donwood.
Lee Brackstone, Creative Director of Faber Social, said: ‘The Faber Social pop-up is a great way for us to draw attention to an area of Faber’s publishing that is growing in strength and stature. Comprising nearly 60 titles, the Faber Social list is comparable in energy and calibre to that of our film list which brought us great success in the 90s. Like those titles, these books are poised to become future classics. It’s so exciting to have a physical space in the heart of bookselling London to experiment and express ourselves directly to readers.’
