Speaking out against absolute power, corruption and lies is left-wing commentator, author (Chavs) and Independent columnist Owen Jones; salonière and child of Thatcher Damian Barr will be reading from his powerful memoir Maggie & Me about the impact of growing up under Maggie’s controversial policies; followed by some free-speech from feminist activist, founder of UK Feminista and author of The Equality Illusion Kat Banyard; critic and award-winning writer Louise Doughty will look at the seduction of this month’s tripartite theme by reading from her thrilling new novel Apple Tree Yard; and poet and author Owen Sheers will do a special reading from his powerful new verse-drama, as heard on BBC Radio 4, Pink Mist.
