On a recent trip to London, we persuaded (with very little force necessary) Meet Me in the Bathroom author Lizzy Goodman to browse the shelves at Rough Trade East and select her six essential MMITB records for our new regular feature, Six Things.

WATCH Lizzy Goodman’s Six Things

Here’s her selection in simple list-form:

‘Up The Bracket’ – The Libertines
‘Nevermind’ – Nirvana
‘Losing My Edge’ – LCD Soundsystem
‘Return to Cookie Mountain’ – TV On The Radio
‘Gold’ – Ryan Adams
‘Master’ – Yeah Yeah Yeahs

WIN Lizzy’s MMITB record selection

Faber Social are offering one lucky winner the chance to WIN all six of Lizzy’s records (the very same records as seen in the film) plus a signed copy of the book. To enter watch Lizzy Goodman’s ‘Six Things’ and then answer the following question:

When Lizzy is selecting her record choice in Rough Trade East she has a Nirvana album in her pile which doesn’t make it into her final selection. Which Nirvana record doesn’t make her final six – and which Nirvana record does?

Answers to comps@faber.co.uk by 12 noon on the 1st September 2017. Competition only open to UK residents.

Meet Me in the Bathroom is available to buy from Rough Trade and other good book retailers now.
